These settings will work for hosted exchange systems and external setup of in-house Exchange systems, providing your system is set up correctly.
If you are not sure that your system is setup corrcetly then submit a support ticket.
You will need to know:
Your name Your email address Your server address possibly also your internal server address
This instructions work for Outlook 2007, 2010 and 2013 connecting to exchange 2007, 2010 and 2013, using the manual method. You should try the automatic setup first.
Open Outlook, or if adding an additional account open Mail from Control Panel and add a new profile (or update an exisiting one).
Follow the wizzard through selecting Manually Setup Account which is usually a tick box on the information page.
You will then need to select the accont type, this is Exchange or compatible service (NOT Outlook)
Add your server address and your username as provided to you.
Click the More Settings button
Go to the Connection tab
Tick the box to Connect using HTTP
Click the button Exchange Proxy Settings
Enter in the URL box next to HTTPS:// {Server address as provided}
Tick the boxes for On Slow networks and On Fast Networks
Set the Authentication level if different to the default.
Click Ok, then OK
Click Check Name, next to your username
Enter the username and password provided
It should then under line your name and the server name, continue the wizzard to Finish
If it comes up with any errors, please check your infomration and if all correct, then submit a support ticket.
