How Do I Set Up A Microsoft Exchange/Cloud Email Account On An Android Device with the Native App?
This article describes how to set up our Exchange/Cloud mailbox on Android Devices.
Necessary requirements
Synchronization of Exchange mailbox data is supported on mobile devices with Android 2.0 OS or later. Before you start to configure a mobile device, you should do the following:
Contact your wireless provider and make sure your plan supports ActiveSync synchronization with Exchange server.
Activate ActiveSync service for the Exchange user. Contact Support if you are not sure if this has been done.
Make sure you can browse the Internet using the device browser.
Native app set up
Below you will find the instructions to connect native app for some Android devices to Exchange server:
Open Application drawer from the Home screen by swiping up and tap Settings.
Tap Add Account.
Choose Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync.
Type in your primary email address and your password. SEE SMS. Note: If you have an Autodiscover record compatible with Exchange server set up, tap Next, and your email account settings automatically. If the settings are populated incorrectly or you do not have that record, tap Manual setup.
Type in the settings. You can find all the settings here:
Email address: SEE SMS
Domain\Username: type in EXCH domain\Canonical user name Note: This can be found under Users > click onDisplay Nameof the user > Exchange > ActiveSync
Password: SEE SMS.
Exchange server: SEE SMS.
Use Secure connection (SSL): checked.
Use client certificate: not checked
Administrators: CONTROL PANEL > Home > Exchange Servers and Settings
