Double-Entry

When you transfer money between your accounts — paying your credit card from your bank account, moving money into savings, or anything similar — TallyPilot automatically records both sides of the transaction. You enter the transfer once, and the two entries always stay in sync. That’s double-entry, handled for you.

Transfers are always corrected as a pair, never one side at a time. Edit a transfer and both entries are updated together. To reverse a transfer, simply void it. Choosing Void on the Transfers screen removes both sides while preserving a record of what happened.

CSV Import

Import transactions from most UK bank CSV exports with no setup required. TallyPilot matches columns by name, accepts dates in four formats, and recognises negative amounts written in brackets. Preview your import before committing it, and roll it back afterwards if needed.

Data Privacy

Your household financial data is stored locally on your device. No transactions, costs, or personal data are transmitted to our servers, except for the licence key and email address used for activation, along with the anonymous update and licence-check requests described in the EULA.

Trial & Licensing

TallyPilot is fully functional without an activated licence for a 30-day trial period. You do not need to activate a licence key immediately, or at all, during the trial.

Once the trial period ends, an activated and valid licence key is required to continue using the software.
