Domain Names are necessary for some services to work online. You may also wish to protect your brand or register a domain for something you may do in the future. If someone else registers it, then you can't. You may be able to find one in another TLD, though. Contact us if you can't find a domain name you are looking for. We are very experienced in Domain Names.
The most common domain name TLDs (Top-Level Domains) used in the world are .com, .net, and .org. However, registering only the .com TLD for the domain name you wish to register the domain may create an inconvenient situation for your brand or website in the future. Anyone else can register and use TLDs you have not registered, even if this is not intentional, it may be uncomfortable for your brand. Also consider using a Country specific TLD, such as .uk or .co.uk for the UK or .co.nl for The Netherlands etc.
To be a website owner, you must first register a domain name. You can think of a domain name registration as a trademark registration service. The registration service ensures that the domain for which you have purchased the rights for a given period is recorded on your behalf during the period of use and is not used by different people.
Yes, you can use the management system in your client area to perform all the operations related to domain services. You also have access to the cPanel Control Panel to make advanced changes to your domain name and web services.
When you pay by credit card, your order is usually immediately confirmed, payments made by money transfer / EFT are confirmed by one of our staff. Most registrations are automated and so once payment is confirmed they will be completed immediately.
We send you SMS and email reminder messages before the expiration of your domain name. Be sure to turn on and verify your email address and mobile number. Also remember to turn on these notifications in your control panel.
You have to upload a document for some domain names, for example, .EU and .US require proof that you qualify to register these domains. The documents will be requested by our staff after the order process. You can see the extensions that require documents in the price list on our domain name registration page.
Domains that are not renewed by their renewal date go in to a recovery period. You then have a certain amount of time (depending on the TLD) to recover your domain for a large fee and the renewal fee. During this time, your domain will not work, nor any services attached to the domain. If you do not recover and renew the domain in time, then the domain will be "dropped" and may be registered by someone else. Most dropped domains are picked up by someone else within 30 seconds and then sold at auction for large amounts. We recommend that you sell it yourself or contact us to help you sell it or buy it from you.
The WHOIS information is visible to everyone as standard. You can hide your information by activating the WHOIS protection feature from your domain panel during and after ordering.
The rules are different for anyone in the EU or UK and certain other countries where the WHOIS information is protected by GDPR (in EU), data Protection Act (2018) (in UK) or other laws. In this case, you may not need to use the WHOIS Protection service. If your details are available via the public WHOIS servers, then you can hide them from your control panel.
