We require enhanced ID checks for VPS and VDS because you will have complete control over your server. This allows people to use the server for illegal and other purposes that are not in line with our Terms and Conditions, Fair Usage Policy and other policies. We have had instances of people using the server to send out SPAM and other unsolicited emails. This creates an unnecessary resource usage as well as damaging the reputation of the IP addresses associated with the data centre and all other servers can be affected. We do not want our servers to be used for SPAM, as we hate it, and we do not want our servers to be used for illegal purposes. People who are happy to prove who they are generally less likely to use it for any of these purposes, and we will work with law enforcement if required.

We aim to complete VPS/VDS setup ASAP, but please allow up to 48 hours. Also, remember that VPS and VDS require extra ID checks, that need to be completed before we begin deploying a new server.

Shared hosting servers have features that can not be changed. For this reason, you can optimize your virtual server as you like in your specific projects and adjust your settings as you like. You can organize your server according to your project, not the server.
